Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat milk and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks. Gradually add hot milk mixture to yolks, whisking constantly.
- Return mixture to saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Stir gelatin into warm custard until dissolved. Add vanilla extract.
- Cool the mixture to room temperature.
- Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold into custard gently.
- Pour into molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.

- For a flavored variation, add fruit puree or chocolate.
- Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved for a smooth texture.
