- 1 ½ cups cream cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup dark rum
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.
- Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until set.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add sliced bananas and brown sugar, cooking until caramelized.
- Remove from heat and stir in dark rum.
- Let cheesecake cool, then top with caramelized bananas and rum glaze.
Notes
- Allow the cheesecake to chill for several hours before serving.
- Use ripe bananas for better flavor.
- Adjust the amount of rum to taste.
