Description
Cheddar Stuffed Soft Pretzel Bites are delicious bite-sized snacks filled with melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the dough into small pieces. Flatten each piece and place a small amount of cheddar in the center.
- Wrap the dough around the cheese and shape into balls.
- Dissolve baking soda in a pot of boiling water. Boil the pretzel bites for 30 seconds, then remove and drain.
- Place the bites on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
