Ingredients

- 200g Gruyère cheese
- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh bread, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic.
- Pour in the wine and lemon juice, then heat gently.
- Gradually add the grated cheeses while stirring.
- Mix cornstarch with kirsch and add to the pot.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
- Season with pepper.
- Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
