Instructions

- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in vanilla extract and cream of tartar.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of the meringue mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the cookies are dry and crisp.
- Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside for an hour.
