- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C).
- In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in vanilla extract gently.
- Spoon or pipe meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let cookies cool inside for an additional hour.
- Dip cooled meringues in melted chocolate and let set on wax paper.

- Ensure no yolk gets into the egg whites for proper whipping.
