Description

Cinnamon roll cookies are soft, chewy cookies with a cinnamon swirl and cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon with a tablespoon of sugar.
  7. Spread cookie dough on a floured surface and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rounds.
  9. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. For frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  11. Frost cookies after they cool.
