Deliciously soft and chewy cookies with a twist on classic snickerdoodles and gooey chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Form dough into balls and roll in cinnamon sugar.
  9. Place on baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container.
  • For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
  • You can use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
