Description

Ingredients

  • 200g Emmental cheese
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Bread cubes for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cheeses and cornstarch.
  3. Heat the wine in the pot until just simmering.
  4. Add the cheese mixture gradually, stirring until melted.
  5. Add lemon juice, kirsch, and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.

  • Use day-old bread for better dipping.
