Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar while whisking until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites gently.
  5. Spoon the batter into a piping bag and pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, then cool completely.
  8. For the filling, beat the butter and chocolate together, then add heavy cream and mix until smooth.
  9. Pipe the filling onto half of the macarons and sandwich with the other half.
