Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for filling)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
  4. Add granulated sugar and cream of tartar to egg whites; beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold in almond flour mixture and crushed Oreos.
  6. Pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let them rest for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Let cool completely before filling.
  10. In a bowl, beat butter until creamy; add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to make the filling.
  11. Pipe filling onto half of the macarons and sandwich with the other half.
