Description

Ingredients

  • Saltine crackers – 1 sleeve
  • Unsalted butter – 1 cup
  • Brown sugar – 1 cup
  • Chocolate chips – 2 cups
  • Chopped nuts (optional) – 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange Saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until it boils.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the crackers evenly.
  5. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
  7. Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then spread it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
  9. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
