Description

Samoas cookies are a delicious treat with a rich chocolate and coconut flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  3. Add flour, salt, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  4. Shape dough into small circles and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool.
  7. In a saucepan, melt caramel and mix in coconut.
  8. Spread the caramel-coconut mixture on each cooled cookie.
  9. In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and dip the bottoms of the cookies.
  10. Drizzle remaining chocolate on top of cookies.
  11. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container.
  • Use a double boiler for melting chocolate for even melting.
  • Chill cookies for faster chocolate setting.
