Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in rice and Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Add shrimp and cook for an additional 5 minutes until shrimp are pink.
  8. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
