Description

A simple recipe for tender shredded beef sandwiches made in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 sandwich rolls
  • Optional: sliced cheese, pickles, or barbecue sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper, then place it on top of the onions and garlic.
  3. In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Pour over the beef.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  5. Remove the beef, shred it with two forks, and return it to the slow cooker. Stir to combine with the juices.
  6. Serve on sandwich rolls with optional toppings.
