Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
  3. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract.
  6. Pipe meringue onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 1.5 hours or until dry.
  8. Cool completely before dipping.
  9. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  10. Dip the meringues in chocolate and place on wax paper to set.
