Ingredients

- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
- In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
- Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Pipe meringue onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 1.5 hours or until dry.
- Cool completely before dipping.
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
- Dip the meringues in chocolate and place on wax paper to set.
Notes
- Use a stand mixer for best results.
- Ensure no yolk is in egg whites.
- Store in an airtight container.
