Description
A delicious strawberry shortcake layer cake made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add butter and milk, then beat until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans.
- Whip the cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Layer the cake with whipped cream and strawberries.
- Repeat layers and finish with whipped cream on top.

- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- Chill the whipped cream for better consistency.
