- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Layer one cake with whipped cream and strawberries.
- Top with the second cake and frost with remaining whipped cream.
- Decorate with additional strawberries.

- Chill the cream for easier whipping.
