Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla to the yeast mixture.
  3. Mix in flour and salt. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  6. Spread cream cheese and chopped strawberries on the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place the slices on a baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Let cool before serving.
