- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut into squares.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry beignets until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
